Expressions of Interest sought for the Recapitalisation or Sale of parts, or all, of RDG Group’s business and assets
Jason Ireland, Rob Brauer and Linda Smith in their capacity as Administrators of Resource Development Group Limited (ASX: RDG; www.resdevgroup.com.au) and its six subsidiaries (the RDG Group) are seeking expressions of interest for the urgent sale and/or recapitalisation of parts, or all, of the RDG Group’s business and assets.
RDG via its subsidiary, Australian Garnet, operates the 100% owned Lucky Bay Garnet Mine and Lucky Bay Wind Farm located 70km north of the port of Geraldton, WA. Lucky Bay is an integrated mining, processing, packaging and distribution operation supplying garnet abrasive to the protective coating and waterjet cutting industries internationally.
Key investment highlights include:
- Nameplate production capacity of 130,000 tonnes of saleable garnet per annum;
- 28+ year mine life, with total mineral resource spanning >520Mt (4.15% HM with >90% measured or indicated), garnet grades averaging >82%;
- Federally registered power station providing renewable energy to the Lucky Bay processing plant comprising 7 x Enercon 600kw wind turbines, with a combined capacity of 4.2MW;
- Identified investment opportunities to increase annual production capacity, optimise operational efficiency and improve financial return; and
- Processing plant under 3 years old with significant plant modifications and mine infrastructure completed during the past 12 months.
RDG’s diversified portfolio also operates:
- Centrals: provider of multi-discipline construction and plant modification services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. Owner of a significant fleet of mobile equipment used for onsite construction works.
- Mn Battery Minerals: holder of the Ant Hill and Sunday Hill manganese project assets 8.1Mt resource at 20.5% Mn head grade.
- RDG Technologies: owner of pilot plants and a laboratory, developing critical and battery minerals technologies.
- Peloton Resources: owner of proprietary technologies to convert red mud waste to saleable material.
