Opportunity to acquire a 100% interest in Skaland Graphite Operations, Norway – a strategic asset in the critical minerals sector

Skaland is the largest operating graphite mine in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and one of the world’s highest-grade flake graphite operations, with historic concentrate grades averaging 94% with expectations to increase to 96% through identified process improvements.

Key investment highlights include:

  • Largest operating natural graphite mine in the EEA offering strategic supply diversification outside of China;
  • Production history dating back to 1917, with experienced workforce, established infrastructure and permits;
  • Resource of 1,770 thousand tonnes (“kt”) of ore at 23.4% total graphitic content, containing 410 kt of graphite as at 31 December 2023; and
  • Mine is permitted for expansion from 10 ktpa to 13–14 ktpa. Currently operating at 60% utilisation.

Skaland is currently 100% owned by Mineral Commodities Limited (Administrators appointed) (“MRC”). MRC is an Australian mining company listed on the ASX. Acquisition can occur via recapitalisation of MRC or purchase of Skaland Graphite AS shares.

Skaland offers a rare opportunity for strategic investors, industrial participants and aligned organisations seeking growth or diversification in the European critical minerals sector without the permitting risk and timeframes associated with Greenfields development.

As an operating natural graphite mine in Europe, Skaland aligns with the EU Critical Raw Materials Act (2024) targets (10% domestic extraction, 40% processing by 2030) and benefits from the €3 billion ResourceEU funding proposal – providing potential access to funding support for future expansion and value-added opportunities.

Expressions of interest close on 20 January 2026.  Further information will be made available to interested parties upon execution of a confidentiality agreement.
